Ashdowns of Dover

Gary and Lorraine's three-room B&B on the Huon Highway in Dover, 70 minutes south of Hobart in the Far South. Won Gold at the 2019 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Hosted Accommodation, then Bronze in 2021, and inducted into the Tasmanian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame the same year. Cooked-to-order breakfasts use ingredients grown on the property, and they'll do packed lunches and dinner with notice. Sheep wander the paddock, chickens loiter, and there's a riverside hide for spotting platypus.
