Sequoia Lodge

Fourteen adults-only suites carved into the escarpment below Mount Lofty House, on the 30-acre Adelaide Hills estate Arthur Hardy planted with Californian redwoods in the 1850s. Three of those sequoias still stand — the lodge takes its name from them. Designed by owner David Horbelt with Adelaide interior designer Georgie Shepherd, the suites use Basket Range stone and spotted gum, with sunken lounges and 180° views over Piccadilly Valley. Three thermal pools draw from the property's own mineral spring.
